Interesting lecture!
Today's lecture was very interesting... mayb bcoz it's by a guest lecturer... haha...
but this is the 1st lecture for the module that I don't feel that tired... (or partly bcoz of the fact that i know i'm on leave tmr???)
anyway.. the lecture is about the "Culture of Contentment" (but the topic on the lecture note is diff thou...hmmm) & the lecturer used the Gay/Lesbian committees in SG as the case study, which are V interesting! :p
2 interesting points that I learned from the lecture: "The Creative Class" & "Normal-isation"
Apparently a researcher had proven that, a city has a high amount of Rock Bands & Gay committees, which is refered to by the "Creative Class", is a Rich city! Rich as in $$$!

does it mean that if a city which want to boost their economy should promote gay committees???

"Normal-isation" would mean that an ideology has been implanted deeply into the peoples' mind till it seem the natural way of life...
seem abit chim? but I don't really know how to simplify my explanation...hmmm..
going off to slep liao...tmr still got to wake up and work on the presentation which is due on Saturday! sigh!
