Politics starts in School
A few days ago, my collz was sharing that the Mummies Group in her daughter's P1 class were discussing about the love-hate relationship that their daughters are facing in the schools. She was shocked to hear that politics started so young.
Actually I was involved in politics at that tender age too..! I remember I was sort of out casted by the pretty/cute/smart girls aka the popular girls group in my P1 days... It was quite a traumatising experience.. imagine the other girls pulling away my playmate just bcoz I'm not cute enough to be seen playing with. =(
Although I was streamed into different classes - away from the pretty/cute/smart group of girls.. there are always politics in the new class, like fighting to be who who's bestEST friend and the usual "I don't want to friend you already!" squabbles. I re-read some of the letters that were exchanged back then.. and I can't believe the stuff that I wrote.. so childish! Hahaha!
It was until almost the end of P6 that I started to shun all these politics.. "So what if you don't friend me. There are other people around and I most prob never going to see you again!" =P
Just a few months ago, I bumped into one of the girls, who has "bully" me back in P1 back, at a wedding dinner ..Singapore is really that small! @_@ But of course she doesn't remember me.. and I'm kind of glad too... hahaa!
