Carousel - Hokkaido Promo
Went last Friday for the Hokkaido promo at Carousel.. was on wait list but they called us on Thursday to confirm our booking..
The buffet cost $82 nett per person!!! *faint* There is a 10% for some credit cards.. but it still cost $70++ after the disc! @_@ I think it is the most expensive buffet I have ever eaten...Other than The Line.. Think Greenhouse is not so ex also..
Because of the Hokkaido promo, they have quite a good spread of crabs and sashimi.. Maguro, Yellow-tailed, Swordfish, Salmon, Ika, sweet scrimps and hotate.. I think the hotate is the most disappointing.. totally not like those nami hotate in the sushi places!! Sigh! =(
Crabs wise... I only target on this...
The Hokkaido snow crab! the meat is very sweet and its so easy to eat! Don't even need to use my hand.. =D
I find the spread so-so.. they have quite a variety on the cheese type.. the Parmesan cheese wheel looks interesting but I didn't try it... too full from all the crabs and sashimi... haha!
their dessert bar don't look as good as those at the entrance, which are not included in the buffet...=( but they have a 3 tier chocolate fondue.. But if not for its Hokkaido promo, I think it is not very worth to pay such a high price for the buffet..
